แนวโน้มอัตราการตายด้วยโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากในประเทศไทย

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตรวจสอบแนวโน้มอัตราการตายเฉพาะสาเหตุตามกลุ่มอายุและอัตราการตายปรับอายุมาตรฐานของโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2554 - 2564 โดยใช้ข้อมูลการตายของกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ตามบัญชีจำแนกโรคระหว่างประเทศครั้งที่ 10 ระหว่างปี พ.ศ.2554 - 2564 ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลอัตราตาย และการวิเคราะห์แนวโน้มอัตราการตายด้วยโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมาก (C61) โดยหาค่าสถิติอัตราการตายเฉพาะสาเหตุตามกลุ่มอายุ และอัตราการตายปรับอายุมาตรฐานต่อประชากรเพศชาย 100,000 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
อัตราการตายเฉพาะสาเหตุตามกลุ่มอายุและอัตราการตายปรับอายุมาตรฐานของโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นประมาณสองเท่าในช่วงระยะเวลา 10 ปี อัตราการตายตามกลุ่มอายุของโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากที่อายุน้อยกว่า 60 ปี พบไม่เกิน 3.74 คนต่อประชากรเพศชาย 100,000 คน แต่เมื่ออายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไป จะพบอัตราการตายมีอัตราระหว่าง 7 - 81 คนต่อประชากรเพศชาย 100,000 คน
ดังนั้นผู้กำหนดนโยบายทางสุขภาพควรส่งเสริมให้ชายไทยลดปัจจัยเสี่ยงจากโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากโดยการส่งเสริมให้มีพฤติกรรมสุขภาพที่ดี รวมทั้งการให้ความรู้แก่เจ้าหน้าที่ทางสุขภาพเพื่อตรวจคัดกรองหาโรคมะเร็งต่อมลูกหมากในระยะเริ่มต้น โดยวิธีตรวจหาค่าพีเอสเอ
