                การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความหมายและกระบวนการเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิต กรณีศึกษาคณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยโดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ รวบรวมข้อมูล โดยสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกอย่างไม่เป็นทางการ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ คือ แนวคำถามปลายเปิด วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล แบบอุปนัย

                ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักกิจกรรมนิสิตหมายถึงผู้ที่สนใจทำกิจกรรมเพื่อส่วนรวม มีความตั้งใจปฏิบัติ กิจกรรมโดยไม่ได้หวังสิ่งตอบแทน เป็นผู้อุทิศตนเพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวม และรู้สึกว่าตนเองได้รับ ประโยชน์จากการทำกิจกรรม  โดยนักกิจกรรมนิสิตต้องมีภาวะผู้นำและมีความสามารถบริหารจัดการ
เป็นผู้ที่สนใจ เป็นผู้นำกิจกรรมโดยสมัครใจ มีมนุษยสัมพันธ์ที่ดีกับผู้อื่น สามารถจัดการกับอารมณ์
ของตนเองได้ เป็นผู้มีวินัยในตนเอง มีความรับผิดชอบในตนเองทั้งด้านการเรียนและการทำกิจกรรม รวมทั้ง เสียสละเวลา กระบวนการเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิตเริ่มจากนิสิตเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนอกหลักสูตร อาจเริ่มต้น ตั้งแต่ชั้นประถมศึกษาหรือมัธยมศึกษาเป็นต้นมาถึงปัจจุบันโดยเริ่มจากการเป็นผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม สำหรับบุคคลที่มีส่วนสำคัญในการจูงใจให้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมมากที่สุด คือ เพื่อน รองลงมา คือ รุ่นพี่  ส่วนแรงจูงใจที่ทำให้นิสิตคงความเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิตอย่างต่อเนื่อง มี 3 ประการ ได้แก่ แรงจูงใจใฝ่สัมฤทธิ์ แรงจูงใจใฝ่สัมพันธ์ และแรงจูงใจใฝ่อำนาจ

                หลังจากที่นิสิตได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนิสิตและพัฒนาเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิต ทำให้นิสิตได้พัฒนา ทักษะทั้งด้านสติปัญญา ร่างกาย และความสัมพันธ์กับผู้อื่น วินัยในตนเอง ทักษะการฟัง การสื่อสารกับผู้อื่น การปรับตัวเข้ากับผู้อื่น ความมั่นใจในตนเอง การจัดการกับอารมณ์ การพัฒนาความเป็นตัวของตัวเอง พร้อมกับยอมรับการพึ่งพาอาศัยซึ่งกันและกัน การสร้างเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตน และนำไปสู่การพัฒนา ความมีคุณธรรมและมีพฤติกรรมที่แสดงถึงความรับผิดชอบในสังคมเพิ่มขึ้น

                ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ทำให้เข้าใจความหมายและกระบวนการเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิต ซึ่งจะช่วยให้ สามารถสร้างความเข้าใจอันดีต่อกันระหว่างนิสิต อาจารย์และสถาบัน รวมทั้งทำให้สถาบันมีแนวทางส่งเสริม ให้นิสิตเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมและเป็นนักกิจกรรมนิสิตเพิ่มขึ้น

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the definitions and process of being student activists: case study of Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. It was qualitative research on the basis of data collection through informal in-depth interview. The instrument was the opened-end questions. Data were analyzed by mean of analytic induction.

According to research results, 'student activists' were those who were interested in doing activities for public. They were willing to do so without expecting anything in return. They also dedicated themselves for the benefit of all. Thus, they reckoned that they were benefited from doing such activities too. In this regard, student activists had to had leadership and managerial skills. They were interested in being activity leader voluntarily and enjoyed good human relation with others. They were capable to deal with their own emotions and self-disciplinary. They also had self-responsibility in learning and doing activities. They dedicated their time for the benefit of all. The process of being student activists might begin from the students' participation in extra-curricular activities, probably from primary- or secondary- school level until the present time. Initially, they might be the participant first. The most influential persons motivating students to participate in activities were their friends; then, their seniors.
The achievement motive, affiliative motive and power motive were the three motives that encourage them to
remain being student activists.

After participating in student activities and developing into student activists, the development of intellectual and physical competency, relationship with others, and self-discipline among students were found. They also improved listening, communication and adjustment skills. Their self-confidence was higher with the capability to deal with their own emotions. They accepted interdependence and created their unique identity. All of these had then rendered to the development of morality and social-responsibility behaviors.

The study results have led to better understanding of definitions and process of being student activists. Good understanding among students, teachers and institutes is also enhanced. Meanwhile, certain guidelines may also be initiated by the institutes to encourage students to participate in the activities and to become student activists.
