Trend situation and health promotion of elderly bedridden people in Thailand

Abstract

The aging society situation appears all over the world, including Thailand, which has fully entered the aging society. The elderly require special care due to the deterioration of their physical. Especially in the elderly, bedridden, unable to help themselves, which is increasing every year. Therefore, the proper arrangement of services or forms of care for the elderly is important. Especially the elderly, bedridden to prevent various health problems that occur both physically and mentally. The most common problems of the elderly bedridden include dysphagia. Infectious conditions, mobility problems, constipation, insomnia, care for the elderly bedridden requires a long-term care model, which requires cooperation in a network of care both in terms of health services by Public health staff, family, and community, with the main principles being 1) having access to a long-term care system that should be appropriate and continually 2) supporting long-term care management in the area or community 3) relying on personnel who are not and 4) the development of a long-term care system based on existing social costs.
