การจัดการเรียนการสอนด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ เป็นกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่ใช้แนวคิดการต่อภาพร่วมกับกระบวนการกลุ่มและทักษะการสื่อสาร ที่ผู้สอนใช้ในการพัฒนาผู้เรียนตามระบบการศึกษาในศตวรรษที่ 21 ให้เป็นบัณฑิตพยาบาลที่มีคุณลักษณะพึงประสงค์ สามารถศึกษาหาความรู้ได้ด้วยตนเอง มีความรับผิดชอบ และถ่ายทอดเนื้อหาความรู้แก่ผู้อื่นได้ถูกต้องเหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์ ซึ่งการจัดการเรียนการสอนด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์สำหรับหลักสูตรพยาบาลศาสตรบัณฑิต มีขั้นตอนการดำเนินการตามบทบาทหน้าที่ของทั้งผู้สอนและผู้เรียนโดยเริ่มจาก ขั้นเตรียม ขั้นสอน ขั้นสรุป และขั้นประเมินผล เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนสามารถประยุกต์ความรู้ลงสู่การปฏิบัติการพยาบาลได้สอดคล้องตามสภาพผู้ป่วยได้อย่างถูกต้องเหมาะสม
