Development of the Computer Assisted for Knowledge Review Through the Test on Adult Nursing for Nursing Students

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop computer assisted knowledge review through testing adult nursing. The research is composed of 2 phases. The first phase was developed through testing on adult nursing by researchers. The researcher, (instructors,) developed the content according to the description of adult nursing courses 1 and 2. The three experts who examined the content validity were .86. After that, the researchers applied the test to thirty nursing students in the third year for reliability. The KR20 value was calculated as .97. The test was recorded on 12 CDs. For testing innovation, the sample group was 22: furth year nursing students taking 1: 1 test were 12 students and taking 1:10 test were 10 students. The statistics for analysis was content analysis. The second phase tested computer assisted knowledge review through the test on adult nursing. The subjects were thirty of furth year nursing students. Research tools included the demographic data and the 12 CDs with 600 test items. The statistics used for analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation and the t-test.

The results of this research in the first phase developed 12 CDS through the test on adult nursing. Each CD contains 50 test items, the content described in 600 correct answeks which were tested innovative 1: 1 and 1:10 to test for effectiveness. The second phase was on adult nursing. This phase found that the score used after the computer assisted knowledge review was higher than before through the test on adult nursing in both overall and in each series statistically significant (p <.01)
