Abstract

This research used a research and development approach. 1) The objectives were to derive a simulation equation for spring onion growth, evaluate the realism of the model, 2) Design a user interface and UX/UI for an onion-growing game linked to the Thai economic system with Agile techniques, and 3) Assess player satisfaction with the game prototype. The sample group included 70 Generation Z youths skilled in computer-based simulation games. Research instruments were a game prototype, a simulation equation realism assessment form (content validity index 0.85), a gameplay, performance, and usability assessment form (content validity index 0.94), and a satisfaction assessment form (content validity index 0.96). Data analysis used frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings revealed the following: (1) The simulation equation for scallion growth, along with its overall realism, was rated at a high level (M = 4.05, SD = 0.84), which suggests that the equation design effectively represents the principal factors influencing scallion growth. (2) The user interface (UX/UI) also received a high overall evaluation (M = 3.98, SD = 0.94), indicating that the interface design successfully communicates detailed game information. (3) Player satisfaction regarding overall game interaction was similarly assessed as high (M = 4.01, SD = 0.92), demonstrating substantial user satisfaction. The findings of this study may be applied to the further development of simulation games aimed at cultivating a broader range of vegetable species.
