Life and Ministry of Kaopraporn Church, Belonging to the Seventh District of the Church of Christ in Thailand

Abstract

          The following research has the nature of descriptive research.  It has as its purpose the study and analysis of the quality of life and ministry of the Kaopraporn Church, based on the Scriptures and theology. A total of 21 church members, comprised of the session members, women and men missionary union, and singles, make up the sample population in this research.  The facts were gathering using researched paperwork, survey questionnaire, group discussion and interviews.

          The findings of the research shows that the Kaopraporn Church is a community that believes and trusts in Jesus, having the characteristics that is in accordance with the characteristics of the church that is taught in the Scriptures and theological doctrines.  Kaopraporn Church also is carrying out the five ministries of the church (i.e., discipleship, worship, fellowship, church and society, and evangelism) completely.  However, the Kaopraporn Church needs to improve or develop the evangelism, fellowship and discipleship ministries.  In addition, the Kaopraporn Church should seek to respond to three important issues which have a direct result on the life and ministry of the church.  These are 1) few numbers of church members, 2) church members live in the urban areas, and 3) church members lack clear understanding about what the Scriptures and theological doctrines say about the church.
