The Development of Workshop Plan based on the AIC Processes for Community Health Plan of Village Health Volunteers

Abstract

          The purpose of this research was to develop of workshop plan based on the AIC processes for community health plan of village health volunteers (VHVs). The community health process comprised three stages: 1) the development of workshop plan based on the AIC processes:  preparation for workshops 2) the intervention of workshop plan based on the AIC processes: workshop, and 3) the evaluation of workshop plan based on the AIC processes: evaluation of the workshops. The samples were 45 village health volunteers at Bang Kaeo District, Amphoe Bang Phli, Samut Prakan Province. The research tools were the action plan based on AIC processes which included seven training sets, and observation form. The data were analyzed by using content analysis.

          The results of the study were as follow:

          The community health process based on Appreciation, Influence, and Control - AIC processes comprised three steps; the first step: Appreciation, that are constructing understanding and agreement, which are three training sets; 1) understanding and agreement, 2) reviewing of the reality conditions, and 3) mention the desirable image.  The second step: Influence, a community development approach that are two training sets; 1) an alternative solutions of the community health problems, and 2) a guideline for the management of community health. The last step: Control, are the guideline and the supervision that comprised two training sets; 1) the action plan, and 2) the summary of lessons and the commitment. Finally, the Appreciation, Influence, and Control - AIC processes can be used to develop community health plan.
