The Development of Animation Media Entitled "How I was Born"

Abstract

          The Development of Animation Media entitled “How I was born” was an action research. The purpose of the study was to study software that use for develop animation, intended to develop multimedia material on “How I was born”, and to evaluate the result of using multimedia material. The sample size were 32 students from third year of primary level at a public primary school in Nakhon Pathom province. The instruments were multimedia assisted instruction on “How I was born” and questionnaires with 5 rating scales. Statistics utilized for data analysis were mean (x̄) and standard deviation (S.D.). The research result showed that presentation of multimedia assisted instruction was high (x̄ = 4.24, S.D. = 0.57), Animation of multimedia assisted instruction was high (x̄ = 4.36, S.D. = 0.38), Sound of multimedia assisted instruction was high (x̄ = 4.30, S.D. = 0.52), Font format of multimedia assisted instruction was high (x̄ = 4.48, S.D. = 0.42), Content of multimedia assisted instruction was very high (x̄ = 4.53, S.D. = 0.33). The overall evaluation of multimedia assisted instruction was high (x̄ = 4.38, S.D. = 0.33). Conclusion that the Multimedia Assisted Instruction development can create understanding to primary students about how were they born.
