Publication Ethics
JNRIH Ethical standard for Authors
All authors who submit to JNRIH, the Journal of Nursing Research, Innovation, and Health, are supposed to observe the ethical standards for authors voluntarily, as follows:
- Authors must certify that their manuscripts are their original work. Plagiarism, duplication, data fabrication and falsification, and redundant publications are forbidden.
- Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published and is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
- If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, the authors must ensure that the work and/or words of others are appropriately cited or quoted and identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscripts.
- When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
- Authors must ensure that all individuals have made substantial contributions to the work reported in the manuscript and must also confirm that all individuals named in the acknowledgement section have provided written permission to be named.
- Authors must notify the journal editor of any conflicts of interest.
Ethical standard for Reviewers
JNRIH Reviewers of JNRIH, Journal of Nursing Research, Innovation, and Health are also expected to meet the ethical standards for reviewers when they accept review invitations, with details as follows:
- Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. It must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
- Reviewers must bring to the attention of the editor board any information that may be a reason to reject publication of a manuscript.
- Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.
- Reviewers must objectively evaluate the manuscripts based only on their originality, significance and relevance to the domains of the journal.
- Reviewers must notify the journal editor of any conflicts of interest.
Ethical standard for Editorial Board
Ethical standard for Editorial Board: Editor and Editorial Board are required to follow
- The editor and editorial board must keep information pertaining to all submitted manuscripts confidential.
- The editor and editorial board are responsible for making publication decisions for submitted manuscripts.
- The editor and editorial board must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.
- The editor and editorial board must maintain the integrity of the academic record.
- The editor and editorial board must disclose any conflicts of interest and preclude business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards.
- The editor and editorial board must always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when needed.

General duties and responsibilities of Editors
Editors should be responsible for everything published in their journals. They should:
- strive to meet the needs of readers and authors;
- constantly improve the journal;
- ensure the quality of the material they publish;
- champion freedom of expression;
- maintain the integrity of the academic record;
- preclude business needs from compromising intellectual standards;
- Always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when needed.
