Keywords:

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that is prevalent
today. Worldwide, the incidence of infection and death has been high. During the initial
stage of disease, an infected person can be asymptomatic and, therefore, may not visit
the hospital for any treatment. As a consequence, the spread of infection can easily go
undetected. This, in turn, can cause an increase in the mortality rate. Therefore, nurses
which are at the front line in patient care should have knowledge about the signs and
symptoms of the disease, the transmission process of the infection, and the roles of nurses in Telemedicine for screening COVID-19. By applying nursing processes, theoretical knowledge, and nursing skills to the epidemic for preparation, response, restoration, and repair, the assessment of symptoms and prevention of the spread of infection to patients and staff can be achieved.
