บทบาทของพยาบาลในการให้ความรู้ เรื่องการตรวจคัดกรอง เบต้าธาลัสซีเมียในสตรีตั้งครรภ์

เบต้าธาลัสซีเมียเป็นโรคที่มีการถ่ายทอดทางพันธุกรรมจากบิดามารดาไปสู่ทารกในครรภ์ ส่งผลให้ทารกในครรภ์มีโอกาสเกิดโรคเบต้าธาลัสซีเมียชนิดรุนแรงมาก ปานกลาง เป็นพาหะ หรือปกติก็ได้ วัตถุประสงค์ของบทความนี้เพื่อให้สตรีตั้งครรภ์มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับการตรวจคัดกรองโรค การเป็นคู่เสี่ยง และ ผลต่อทารกในครรภ์ โดยการอธิบายถึงความสำคัญของการตรวจเลือด การเป็นคู่เสี่ยงและผลต่อทารกเช่น คู่เสี่ยงคู่ที่ 1 คือคู่สมรสที่เป็นพาหะเบต้าธาลัสซีเมียทั้งคู่ก็จะสามารถถ่ายทอดทางพันธุกรรมสู่ทารกในครรภ์ ทำให้ทารกเป็นโรคเบต้าธาลัสซีเมียชนิดรุนแรงมาก คู่เสี่ยงคู่ที่ 2 และ 3 คือคู่สมรสที่เป็นพาหะเบต้าธาลัสซีเมียกับพาหะฮีโมโกลบินอี และคู่สมรสที่เป็นพาหะเบต้าธาลัสซีเมียกับโรคฮีโมโกลบินอี จะทำให้ทารกในครรภ์มีโอกาสเป็นโรคเบต้าธาลัสซีเมีย/ฮีโมโกลบินอีชนิดรุนแรงปานกลาง 1 ใน 4 และ 2 ใน 4 ซึ่งจะเป็นวัฎจักรถ่ายทอดทางพันธุกรรมไปสู่ลูกหลานต่อไป การให้ความรู้แก่สตรีตั้งครรภ์ เพื่อให้เกิดการตระหนักรู้ คิด ตัดสินใจ และเนื้อหาต้องกระชับ เข้าใจง่าย ใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศให้ทันสมัย และควรคำนึงถึงการรับรู้สมรรถนะแห่งตน 4 แหล่งของแบนดูรา (1997) เพราะถ้าสตรีตั้งครรภ์ทุกคนมีความเชื่อมั่นในสมรรถนะแห่งตนว่าทำได้ จะนำไปสู่การปฏิบัติที่ถูกต้องได้
