Professional life planning: Successful Strategy in Thailand 4.0 for Nurses

Abstract
Thailand is coming to the era of “Thailand 4.0” that promotes rapid changing of economic system, health systems, society and learning. Human resource development for enhancing academic and professional strength is a very critical issue. Systematic professional life planning is a key success factor for nurses. It can lead them to improve nursing competencies, meet the needs of society and health system, and succeed in professional nursing practices. Professional life planning strategies in Thailand 4.0 consisted of: (1) scanning the environment (2) self-assessment (3) determining one’s outlook on life (4) planning for the future (5) self-marketing, and (6) implementation and evaluation.
