This invited article aimed to provide guidelines for creating academic books or textbooks for interested individuals. The objective was to produce high-quality work that aligned with the 2021 standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, which served as the most recent official guideline. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of considering other relevant factors, such as the evolving social context, the learning needs of the 21st century, and the lifestyle changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. These shifted, from the "new normal" to the "next normal," had influenced the theoretical framework of teaching and learning, leading to new approaches in content design. The article also outlined the process for writing a book or textbook, offering practical guidance for those interested in applying these principles.
