Documenting the roles of the COVID-19 health care management team: Nursing assistants and clerical staff in the operations of the community waiting center of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital

Nursing assistants and clerical staff plays an important role in easing the workload of frontline personnel teams in the operation of community waiting centers during the COVID-19 outbreak. Operating with limited knowledge in a rapidly changing situation is a challenge, leading to documenting experiences and knowledge. This academic article aims to share the experiences and knowledge captured amidst practice as a COVID-19 health care management team of nursing assistants and clerical staff in the operation of community waiting centers.
This documentation can highlight an additional role that helps improve the quality of life and mitigate the crisis for patients and their families, which includes assisting in: collecting and verifying patient information, preparing for the admission into the treatment system, caring for patients during recovery, planning and preparing for patient discharge, and promoting health and preventing disease; aiming that COVID-19 patients has entered a quality treatment system; and resulting in safety for both service recipients and providers, as well as reduce the spread of infection in the community.
