About the Journal

The Journal of Nursing Science and Health, a quarterly peer-reviewed publication, has been under the ownership of the Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University since 1977. Its primary objective is to disseminate high-quality empirical research and scholarly work within the nursing and allied health sciences domains. We welcome submissions in both Thai and English that have not been previously published elsewhere. Each submitted manuscript undergoes rigorous evaluation by a minimum of two experts (or more as the author requests during submission) in the field for scientific merits and utilizing a double-blind review process.

Objectives

The journal's objectives include advancing the knowledge base in nursing, health, and wellness, promoting health equality and policy advancement, and facilitating networking within both global and local public health domains. It encompasses diverse topics including all facets of nursing, health parity, health literacy, environmental and occupational health, health policy, health determinants, and beyond. These endeavors are aimed at fostering open discourse within scholarly communities in nursing and health.

Scope

The journal encompasses all domains of nursing science and health. It disseminates significant research findings, scholarly papers, notable advancements, and expert viewpoints across all facets of nursing and health. Various types of articles are published, tailored to address nursing science and health issues within local cultures, regions, and neighboring countries.

Types of journal articles

We welcome a variety of article types, such as editorials, special/ invited articles, academic articles, research or original articles, case study articles, nursing innovation development articles, literature, or systematic literature reviews, and more.

Article charges

In an open access system, we guarantee readers free access to published articles online. However, there are fees for submission; upon meeting publication criteria, an article processing charge of 2,500 baht is incurred for evaluation by two reviewers. Should the author request the involvement of three reviewers, an additional fee of 700 baht is required. Payment of fees must be completed prior to the initiation of the peer review process. Please make the payment via transfer to Siam Commercial Bank, account number 5513026676, Khon Kaen University income account (Faculty of Nursing). Authors wishing to receive a receipt should provide their delivery address at the time of fee payment.

Final review decision

Following the review process, please refer to the attached author guidelines. The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the paper's originality index for plagiarism and reviews recommendations from Editors and Reviewers before notifying the author about the manuscript's status. Possible outcomes are as follows:

1) Acceptance for publication without changes

2) Acceptance with minor revisions or a minor review

3) Conditional acceptance pending major revisions and additional review

4) Rejection
