Abstract

This descriptive research with objectives: to study the relationships between perception of thalassemia,selected basic conditioning factors and self-care behaviors of the aldolescents with thalassemia. The samplegroups for this research was 70 people aged 12-20 years. Data analyzing was done by Pearsonûs correlativecoefficient and chi-square. The findings indicated that, there was a positive correlation between perception ofthalassemia, duration of disease and self-care behaviors significantly at 0.001 and 0.05 respectively. Therewas a correlation between the educational level and self-care behaviors significantly at 0.001.
