The effects of the Iisan language video learning media on knowledge and skills to manage acute exacerbation in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Abstract

Abstract
This quasi-experimental study aimed to study The effect of the isan language video learning media and the essential skills to manage acute exacerbation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Subjects were COPD patients attending. Twenty four COPD patients who met inclusion criteria were randomly selected and assigned into either experimental (n=12) or control group (n= 12). The experimental group obtained the routine nursing care and received the effect of the isan language video learning media and the essential skills to manage acute exacerbation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease the control group obtained the routine nursing care. Research instruments consisted of Knowledge Questionnaire and Skill assessment. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, dependent and independent t-test. The results of this study revealed that the isan language video learning media effect mean of knowledge and skills were significantly higher than those receiving routine care (p < 0.05).
