Abstract

This research aimed to study of differences of age, job position, knowledge and ability in research, attitude toward research, perceived organization support and motivation on research conducting between groups of master’s degree nurses who conducting research and without research and to study the association between knowledge and ability in research, attitude toward research, perceived organization support and motivation on research conducting and research conducting of master’s degree nurses. The results of this study showed that groups of master’s degree prepared nurses with research have different age from the group of master’s degree prepared nurses without research (p<.001). Job position was associated with research behavior of master’s degree of professional nurses, statistically significantly (p< .001). The knowledge and ability in research was associated with research behavior at the low level (r=.274, p<.001). Attitude toward research, perceived organization support and motivation for conducting research of master’s degree nurses were not associated with research behavior (r=.021, r=.023 and r=.010 respectively; p≥0.05).
