Problems Survey of International Graduate Students of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University in the Situation of Temporary Workplace Closure as a Result of COVID-19 Infection Outbreak

Abstract

          This survey aimed to study the problems of international graduate students under the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chulalongkorn University during the temporary suspension of educational institutions as a result of the spread of new strain Coronavirus -19.  The survey is comprised of 2 major parts with 29 items, (1) the general data and (2) questions regarding the temporary workplace closure as a result of the COVID-19 infectious disease outbreak. It was conducted through a questionnaire in English using Google form with a total population of 47 respondents, they were international graduate students. Data were analyzed using SPSS, in which descriptive statistics including percentage, mean standard deviation and the comparison of the data performed through the Fisher exact probability test were obtained. The results demonstrated the problems of international graduate students during the temporary workplace closure as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19 at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University. When students were categorized based on the study levels such as Master and Ph.D. levels and their academic year of entry, the dilemmas of the pandemic are not significantly different among them at .05.
