Effectiveness and Safety of Cannabis Oil at Medical Cannabis Clinic in Nonghong Hospital, Buriram Province

Abstract

Purposes : To measure the quality of life, safety and satisfaction of patients who receiving cannabis oil in Cannabis clinic. Nong Hong Hospital Buriram Province.

Study design : Descriptive Research

Materials and Methods : The sample were patients who received services and received Cannabis oil at least 1 time and under the inclusion criteria at Nong Hong hospital Buriram Province. We conducted on December 1, 2019 to March 31, 2023. The data collection form from electronic medical records in HOSxP and the C-MOPH data record form and to study the efficacy and safety of cannabis oil use. by interviewing the sample group or caregivers.

Main findings : 165 of patients who received Cannabis oil had quality of life from Cannabis treatment before and after receiving was (Mean=0.66 SD.=0.29) and (Mean=0.81 SD.=0.26), respectively. This study was found Canabis oil treatment increased the quality of life for patients (p < .001) and most of the patients had no side effect and the overall of satisfaction was at high level (Mean=4.08 ,SD.=0.16)

Conclusion and recommendation : The results of this study suggested that treatment of Cannabis oil that made a good of quality of life, safety and satisfaction. Therefore, more Cannabis oil treatment should to be encouraged.
