System Development and Mechanisms for Prevention and Control of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) with the Participation of the Quality of Life Development Committee of Mueang Suang District, Roi-Et.

Abstract

Purposes : To develop a system and  evaluate the results of system mechanism for the prevention and control of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 with the participation of the Quality of Life Development Committee of MueangSuang District, Roi-Et Province.

Research design : Action  research

Materials and method : 4 of steps this research were divided into: 1) understanding problem and situation of disease, people's needs and communicable disease control committee 2) find solutions to problems, 3) implement 2 loops, and 4) Public health volunteer General public and 100 of civil servants were evaluated the results, Phase 2, 310 of people were consisted of the Quality of Life development  committee, academic affairs, emergency operations center. Area-level committees, 15 of committees and 9,531 of people aged 18 and over were consisted of phases 3 and 4, Data were collected using a semi-structured interview form, group discussion, in-depth interview, brainstorming, problem analysis by problem tree tool, content analysis and mean and standard deviation.

Main findings : 5 of components of disease  were prevention and control mechanisms and mechanisms, driven by 5 main committees, 15 sub-committees, and 2 district-level committees. As a result, the committee had a high level of knowledge about disease and disease outbreaks, both cycles and DMHTT behaviors were at very good levels in all 4 periods, and people's knowledge about disease and disease outbreaks and DMHTT behaviors were at very good levels.

Conclusion and recommendations : The results of this research indicated that all sectors of cooperation in disease surveillance, control and prevention could be adapted to other outbreaks by adjusting strategies to suit a nature of outbreak and context of the area.
