Development of a follow-up model to visit pregnant women for 12 weeks. NongPhok Hospital Network Roi-Et Province.

Abstract

Purpose:   To conducted with participation with the aim to study the situation and develop a model for follow-up visits to pregnant women before 12 weeks.

Design:  Participatory  Action  Research

Materials and Methods: The participants in this study were 1) Pregnant women who came to the NongPhok hospital 277 case   2) Multidisciplinary medical doctor. Volunteerism and Community Development Pregnant women and families divided into 5 groups of 12 people, totaling 60 people.

 and 3) The main target groups are pregnant women who received prenatal care, 104 were selected purposively. The tools used in the development of innovative VALCHOR MODEL and data were collected by questionnaires. Satisfaction Save brainstorming sessions. And in-depth interviews Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. And content analysis

Main findings:  The study found  Phase 1) the situation and problems of pregnancy to 12 weeks of pregnancy who came to the hospital NongPhok, the rate of prenatal care within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, 46 percent problem rate of prenatal care within the first 12 weeks under standard lot (60 percent) to analyze and find out.  Fix the problem that at the meeting agreed. Solve the problem by creating a new form contains 8 elements. principles, goal, objectives, structures, operations, innovation, conditions for success and productivity.  The use of innovative VAlCHOR MODEL Conditions for success and productivity, with an emphasis on spiritual development. Empower's support for maternal and infant health. Responsible for data Provided clinical services Focus on the skills and methods of health management research data obtained from questionnaires and focus groups of pregnant women and their families to create a series of activities in monitoring pregnant women prenatal care within the first 12 weeks. Phase 2) was formed to try to track pregnant women visiting prenatal care before 12 weeks, the 7 steps in place NongPhok District Network. Phase 3) assessment period with details as follows: evaluation of visits to pregnant women the evaluation results in all aspects and the overall picture are at a high level, indicating that it is an effective form. assessment of satisfaction with participation in model development activities shows that pregnant women and relatives group participants were satisfied with the activities at the highest level. as for public health groups and social groups regarding to the new model, overall, it was found that satisfied and agreed with the follow up model of pregnant women at a high level Phase 4) results of data reflection problems from brainstorming sessions and in-depth interviews from 2 pregnant women, it was found that the antenatal care was not possible within 12 weeks due to the inconvenience and the direct appointment date for full time work as well as being the first pregnancy. not sure that she is pregnant.

Conclusion and recommendations: The introduction of a new model developed in the area is linked with the community, allowing the community to know the importance of prenatal care before the pregnancy of 12 weeks of pregnancy. there is a network of community operations in search and public relations, which allows search more and more new pregnant women than the previous model,  result  the number of new pregnant women who have antenatal care before the 12 weeks of pregnancy in 2019 has increased from 87.04 percent to 96.49 percent, an increase of 9 percent.
