Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs or DOI for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • A research article or case report has been reviewed and approved by an Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board.
  • The reference list uses the English language for all entries. In-text citations use numbers in superscripts, following the Vancouver system, display the first 6 authors' names and followed by et al.
  • The journal has a policy on fees for submitting articles and the fees have been paid.

Guideline for Authors (revised: 30-10-2023)

Journal of Nakornping hospital’s policy is to provide opportunities for authors to publish their works, knowledge and research findings to academic society. The journal accepts articles in both Thai and English language.

  • The title of the article should be short, clear, comprehensive and comply with the main objectives.
  • Language should be simple, clear and understandable. Abbreviation should be defined with full words at the first place and comply with the whole document.
  • Thai language manuscript should use Thai as much as possible except when necessary, English word can be used.
  • All articles should have references.
  • The article must be new and not be published before nor in the process of submitting in any other journal.
  • Editor team has the rights to judge and make decision to all submitting article. The articles that had been published in the journal is copyright of Journal of Nakornping hospital.
  • Contents and comments in the articles in Journal of Nakornping hospital are at owner’s responsibilities that editor team may not totally agree with.

Guideline for manuscript preparation

  1. Abstract:
    1. Abstract should be in Thai and English, 1 page each. Abstract structure including introduction, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion.
    2. Page size; A4, font style; TH SarabunPSK, font size; 14, space; 1 lines. or Time New Roman for English article, font size 10, space 1 lines.
    3. Title in Thai and English
    4. Authors’ name in Thai (if applicable) and English with highest degree or position and workplace.
    5. Add * at corresponding author’s family name with contact number and email.
    6. Total abstract word should not exceed 350 words.
  2. Content compositions:
    1. Introduction: define an important of the work, objectives and literature review.
    2. Methodology: explain how the work was designed, conducted, analyzed and reported.
    3. Results: report of the findings which should go along with the objective(s)
    4. Discussion: provide the best conclusion under reasonable assumptions, not to over-generalized, too narrow or misleading conclusion.
    5. Recommendations: from the findings
    6. Acknowledgements if applicable
    7. References at a minimum of 10, using Vancouver style.
    8. Total graphs and tables should not exceed 8 inclusively.
    9. Pictures should be in high resolution and in black and white, color picture may be used in necessary. Drawing should be in black line on white background, clear and sharp.
    10. Total words of the whole document should not exceed 5,000 words or 10 A4 page.
  3. Type of articles

1. Research article or medical education article that content should include Title, Authors’ name and contact details, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Methodology, Result, Discussion, Acknowledgement and References.

2. General article that content should include Title, Authors’ name and contact details, Abstract, Key words, Article’s details and Discussion and References. 

3. Case report that content should include Title, Authors’ name and contact details, Abstract, Key words, Article’s details and Discussion and References.  

4. Review article is the article that authors had interested in specific topics and summarized of findings from related journals to publish in the authors’ idea.

5. Special article is the article that authors would like to publish their own perspective or comments of their interest.

6. Journal abstract is an article which presented only an abstract part.

7. Editorial section is an article from a journal’s editor that would like to share or communicate with readers.

  1. References

The journal’s reference style using Vancouver’s International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (1982). All references are in English.

  1. Cite someone else work by using Arabic numerical, superscript, in-text citation and sequentially order. Reference number will be same number when citation in the whole document.
  2. Journal abbreviation follow Index Medicus list. Check journal abbreviation from: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog. Thai journal has no abbreviation but using full Thai journal’s name instead.
  3. Authors name and number; for articles with 1 to 6 authors, list all authors. For articles with more than 6 authors, list the first 6 authors then add ", et al".
  4. Enter author's family name followed by no more than 2 initials then a comma and a full stop at the end of name list. 
  5. Cite Thai journal by enter Thai authors’ name in English as above and using Anno Domini(AD) year instead of Buddhist Era (BE). Effective from 2021; Vol. 12(1) onward.

  1. Submission guideline
    1. Journal of Nakornping hospital is an online submission via Thai Journals Online (ThaiJO). The journal has submission fees, 3,000 Baht per article and paid along with the submission. Nakornping hospital staff members who are the first authors of the article are eligible to request exemption , please provide related domument.
    2. Author has to register into the journal’s website at https://he01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jnkp .
