The susceptibility test in Aedes aegypti Linnaeus on synthetic pyretroid insecticides

Abstract

Dengue haemorrhagic fever has been a major problem in public health in Thailand until now. The uneffective insecticides is a cause of this problem. The researcher have tested the susceptibility test to decrease DHF incident. The susceptibility of Aedes aegypti Linnaeus on synthetic pyrethroid insecticides such as 0.05% Cypermethrin  0.75% Permethrin and 0.05%  Deltamethrin under the guideline on susceptibility test of World Health Organization standard. The results showed that the populalion of Aedes aegypti were moderate susceptibility on 0.75% Permethrin and 0.05% Deltamethrin and low susceptibility or insecticide resistance on 0.05% Cypermethrin. In vector control of dengue hemorrhagic fever should be done by many people and more difference for insecticides. These factor should be reduced for resistance of Aedes aegypti. There for, the susceptibility test are the best for surveillance on resistance vector. And that are base for managed insecticide for sufficient control vector and DHF in area.
