The development of participatory management model of healthy child care center in Saraburi province.

Abstract

This Participatory Action Research aimed to (1) develop a community-participating management model of healthy

child care center and (2) compare the performance outcomes of healthy child care center using the developed model that was conducted from January 2012 to December 2012 in healthy child care center of one area of municipality and one area of subdistrict administration organization in Sao Hai District, Saraburi Province. Data of stakeholder i.e., parents, related organizations, people and children in healthy child care center were collected by the developed instruments and then were analyzed by qualitative and qualitative methods.

The result shown that the developed model consisted of 4 elements: the child's family, the healthy child care center,

related organizations, volunteers. All elements have duties roles cooperatively drive activities a step by step and determine measures for clear performances with participating management techniques such as good relationship, empowerment,

motivation building, coordination, planning, and goal setting , work assignment and networking. The result form the development and using model showed the power of participation to parent's confidence, and the health behavior of child and child development more. And after used the development model found that children in child care centers have more developed significantly. In conclusion, the determination of policy into practice which promote participation form potential of community by community and for community is considered as sustainable community development resulting in qualities of target group directly.
