Nursing Professional Decision Making in Nursing Students, Suan Sunundha Rajabhat University

Abstract

The purpose of this survey research was to examine the fundamental data and factors that influenced individual’s decision to study for a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Science. The variables examined included age, gender, highest level of education, and domiciles. There were 119 people in this study. Questionnaires included questions that concern the factors that the decision to study for a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Science. The statistical methods applied in the research included frequency distributions, percentage, means, and standard deviation. The results of this study showed that there were had a high school graduation or equivalent and most of them had a cumulative grade point average of 3.01-3.50, or 41.20 percent, from the government school 90.00 percent, and 43.80 percent from northeastern. Factors related to nursing professional decision making in nursing students a College of Nursing and Health Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is divided into 1) the curriculum, 2) the cost, 3) the location, and 4) the reputation and quality of the college. The students had a high level of decision making in the nursing profession. The overall curriculum had a high level of decision making (Mean = 3.79, SD=.72). Cost of the decision level is in the middle (Mean = 3.01, SD = .97). The overall location was found to be at a moderate level (Mean = 3.19, SD = .944) and the overall reputation and quality of the college was found to be at a high level (Mean = 3.61, SD = .88)
