Early childhood surveillance and promotion development is a major problem that the Ministry of Public Health aims to solve systematically throughout the country, emphasizing on promoting caregivers to be able to use manuals for monitoring and promoting early childhood development correctly by themselves. This quasi-experimental research with a single group, pre-post measurement, aimed to compare the knowledge and skills of childcare teachers in promoting early child development in child development centers. The sample group was a population of 48 childcare teachers in child development centers. The sample group received a training program on monitoring and promoting early childhood development for a total of 12 weeks. The research instruments were: 1) Training program on monitoring and promoting early child development, 2) Questionnaires to assess childcare teachers’ knowledge in monitoring and promoting early childhood development, and 3) Questionnaires to assess childcare teachers’ skills in monitoring and promoting early child development. The reliability values were .78 and .79, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a paired t-test with repeated measures, and the variance of the dependent variable in repeated measures, comparing before and after the training immediately in the first week and the follow-up period at 8 and 12. The findings revealed that mean score of knowledge and skills of the childcare teachers after receiving the training program on monitoring and promoting early childhood development was significantly higher than before the experiment (p<.05). When following up immediately after the program in the first week and the follow-up period at week 8 and 12, the mean score of skills in monitoring and promoting early child development was not significantly different. Therefore, the training program on monitoring and promoting early childhood development can effectively enhance the knowledge and skills of the childcare teachers in monitoring and promoting early childhood development at child development centers
