The number of bedridden patients is increasing, leading to greater dependency and associated complications such as pressure injuries. It is essential to enhance caregiver skills to prevent pressure injuries in this vulnerable group. This quasi-experimental study, one-group-repeated measures design aimed to compare caregiver skills in pressure injury prevention and the physical risk of pressure injury in bedridden patients before, after, and during a follow-up period. The sample included 30 caregivers of bedridden patients in an urban district, Lumpang Province. The research instruments consisted of: 1) a caregiver skill enhancement program for pressure injury prevention, incorporating activities focused on perceived susceptibility and severity of pressure injuries, perceived benefits of prevention, and perceived barriers to caregiving over a four-week period; 2) a caregiver skill assessment tool for pressure injury prevention with a Cronbach’s alpha of .96; and (3) a physical risk assessment tool for pressure injury. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and one-way repeated measures ANOVA. The results showed a statistically significant difference in the caregivers' overall skill scores across the three time points (F=30.703, p<.001). However, there was no significant difference in the physical risk scores for pressure injuries (F=2.565, p>.051). The findings suggested that the program could provide as a guideline for empowering caregivers in pressure injury prevention among bedridden patients.
