Nursing care of Acute myocardial infarction patients : cases study Pareeya kekina, B.N.S Department of nursing, Neuklong hospital

Abstract

          Bacground : Acute myocardial infarction is the leading cause of death in Thailand due to cardiovascular
disease. It is a crisis that causes a sudden death of a patient. Treatment in the community hospitals that can provide thrombolytic drug can reduce the loss of life of patients.
          Objective : The purpose of the report were to study the prognosis, treatment and nursing. To compare the differences of the patients with of acute myocardial infarction in a case study of 2 patients.
          Method : Case study in two specific cases. All data are collected between June 2015 and July 2016.
          Result : The study of 2 patients with acute myocardial infarction found that the first case of 74 years old came in with the symptom of chest compression and not refer pain 2 hour before arriving at the hospital. He had a history of COPD with continuing treatment at the hospital. Then, the patient received both intravenous thrombolytic drug and nursing care 4 program from problem list and successful reperfusion. The second case with age 59 years old came in with the symptom of compression and refer pain at left arm chill before arrival in hospital. The patient was given thrombolytic drug and further receive nursing care 4 program from problem list and successful reperfusion.
          Conclusion : The patient care of crisis acute myocardial infarction, Nurse have an important role to evaluating and screening the patient correctly and quickly when patient arrived at the hospital. This makes the patient receive a correctly diagnosis and get a fast treatment with a thrombolytic drug. Nurse must have knowledge of drug management and always monitor abnormality that may occur in patient. Since they arrive at the hospital, until transfer to another hospital. This treatment make the patient survive more.
