ประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดการพัฒนาคุณภาพอย่างต่อเนื่อง ในการพัฒนาระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยหลังผ่าตัดเพื่อป้องกันภาวะลิ่มเลือดอุดตันในหลอดเลือดดำส่วนลึก

การพัฒนาระบบบริการสุขภาพในปัจจุบันมีการนำแนวคิดการพัฒนาคุณภาพอย่างต่อเนื่อง (Continued Quality Improvement: CQI) มาใช้อย่างแพร่หลาย ซึ่งทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาระบบการบริการสุขภาพได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ลดขั้นตอนทำงานที่ซ้ำซ้อน ลดความสูญเปล่า ผู้ป่วยปลอดภัยและมีมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ โดยผู้บริหารมีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาระบบการบริการพยาบาลให้สอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ พันธกิจและนโยบายของโรงพยาบาลที่มุ่งพัฒนาการบริการพยาบาลที่เป็นเลิศ ในปี 2562 ภาควิชาศัลยศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดีได้เล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการเกิดภาวะลิ่มเลือดอุดตันในเลือดดำในผู้ป่วยหลังผ่าตัดด้านศัลยกรรม ซึ่งทำให้เกิดภาวะทุพพลภาพหรือเสียชีวิตได้และส่งผลกระทบต่อระบบสาธารณสุขไทย จึงริเริ่มโครงการเพื่อพัฒนาระบบนี้ โดยประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดการพัฒนาคุณภาพอย่างต่อเนื่อง (CQI) ผลลัพธ์คือ (1) บุคลากรมีความรู้และให้การดูแลผู้ป่วยเพื่อป้องกันภาวะ VTE ได้ถูกต้อง ร้อยละ 100 (2) ผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการผ่าตัดมีความรู้และทักษะในการดูแลตนเองได้ถูกต้อง ร้อยละ 100 (3) อัตราการเกิดภาวะ VTE หลังผ่าตัด เท่ากับ 0 เปอร์เซ็นต์ (4) ผู้ป่วยและบุคลากรมีความพึงพอใจต่อระบบการดูแลนี้ (ระดับมาก-มากที่สุด) ร้อยละ 100
