ผลของโปรแกรมการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจต่อพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเอง จากการสัมผัสฝุ่นละอองขนาดไม่เกิน 2.5 ไมครอนของผู้สูงอายุในพื้นที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่

การวิจัยกึ่งทดลองแบบสองกลุ่ม วัดผลก่อน-หลังและติดตามต่อเนื่อง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจต่อพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากการสัมผัสฝุ่นละอองขนาดไม่เกิน 2.5 ไมครอนของผู้สูงอายุจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 68 คน คัดเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง 34 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม 34 คน เครื่องมือในการวิจัย 1) เครื่องมือในการทดลอง คือ โปรแกรมการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจ 2) เครื่องมือรวบรวมข้อมูล คือแบบวัดพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากการสัมผัสฝุ่น PM2.5 มีค่าความเชื่อมั่น 0.89 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบวัดซ้ำ
ผลวิจัยพบว่าพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากการสัมผัสฝุ่น PM2.5 ของผู้สูงอายุในกลุ่มทดลองหลังการเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมทันทีและสัปดาห์ที่ 12 สูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<.001) และเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มควบคุมพบว่า กลุ่มทดลองมีพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากการสัมผัสฝุ่นสูงกว่าอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p<.001) ทั้งสองช่วงเวลาแสดงว่าโปรแกรมการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจนี้ช่วยเพิ่มพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากการสัมผัสฝุ่นได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและคงผลต่อเนื่อง จึงสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุในพื้นที่ที่มีปัญหามลพิษทางอากาศ เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงต่อผลกระทบสุขภาพจากฝุ่น PM2.5 ได้อย่างยั่งยืน
