การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความรู้เกี่ยวกับกฎหมาย ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมการป้องกันการกระทำความ รุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุของพยาบาลวิชาชีพและผู้ช่วยพยาบาล โรงพยาบาลตำรวจ และเปรียบเทียบความรู้เกี่ยวกับกฎหมาย ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมการป้องกันการกระทำความรุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุ ของพยาบาลวิชาชีพและผู้ช่วยพยาบาล การสุ่มตัวอย่างอย่างง่าย ได้พยาบาลวิชาชีพ จำนวน 88 คน และผู้ช่วยพยาบาล จำนวน 84 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบความรู้เกี่ยวกับ กฎหมาย แบบวัดทัศนคติต่อการป้องกันการกระทำความรุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุ และแบบวัดพฤติกรรมการป้องกันการกระทำความ รุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุ การตรวจสอบค่าความสอดคล้องของข้อคำถามกับประเด็นที่ต้องการศึกษา เท่ากับ 1.00 ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ความ เที่ยงแบบคูเดอร์-ริชาร์ดสันของแบบสอบเท่ากับ 0.49 ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค เท่ากับ 0.79 และ 0.80 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และใช้สถิติทดสอบที
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) พยาบาลและผู้ช่วยพยาบาลมีคะแนนความรู้เฉลี่ยเกี่ยวกับกฎหมายไม่แตกต่างกัน 2) ผู้ช่วย พยาบาลมีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการป้องกันการกระทำรุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุสูงกว่าพยาบาลวิชาชีพ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ .05 และ 3) ผู้ช่วยพยาบาลมีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการป้องกันการกระทำรุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุและพฤติกรรมการป้องกันการกระทำความรุนแรง ต่อผู้สูงอายุสูงกว่าพยาบาลวิชาชีพ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ .05 สถาบันการศึกษาพยาบาล ควรทบทวนหลักสูตร และผู้บริหารทางการพยาบาล ควรทบทวนวัฒนธรรมองค์กร เรื่องการรายงานพฤติกรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสมของผู้ร่วมงาน และการส่ง เสริมความกล้าหาญทางจริยธรรมในการป้องกันความรุนแรงต่อผู้สูงอายุในหน่วยงาน และครอบครัว
