ประสิทธิผลของการพัฒนาหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย สำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาลวิทยาลัยเซนต์หลุยส์

Abstract

การวิจัยกึ่งทดลองนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ1) พัฒนาหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายสำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาล วิทยาลัยเซนต์หลุยส์2) ประเมินประสิทธิผลของหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายสำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาลวิทยาลัย เซนต์หลุยส์กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาพยาบาลชั้นปีที่ 3 ปีการศึกษา 2556 คัดเลือกโดยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย จำนวน 30 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลองประกอบด้วย หลักสูตรฝึกอบรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายสำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาลวิทยาลัยเซนต์หลุยส์ ประกอบด้วย 4 หน่วย ได้แก่ 1) การดูแลชีวิตและการตาย 2) การดูแลเมื่อความตายมาถึง 3) การดูแลหลังการสูญเสีย และ 4)การดูแลด้านจริยธรรมและกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องสำหรับเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลประกอบด้วยแบบวัดความรู้แบบวัดทักษะ และแบบวัดเจตคติต่อการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายของนักศึกษาพยาบาล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดย Paired Samples t-test และ T-test one sample group เปรียบเทียบกับเกณฑ์ผลการวิจัยพบว่าค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยวัดความรู้การดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายของ นักศึกษาพยาบาลหลังการทดลองมีค่าสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองและไม่แตกต่างจากเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .0001 ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยทักษะการร่วมกิจกรรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายของนักศึกษาพยาบาลอยู่ในระดับดีและสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่ กำหนดอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .0001 และค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยเจตคติต่อการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายของนักศึกษาพยาบาล โดยรวมหลังการฝึกอบรมอยู่ในระดับมากและสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .0001ข้อเสนอแนะผู้บริหาร หลักสูตรควรปรับปรุงหลักสูตรการศึกษาด้านพยาบาลศาสตร์ควรปรับเพิ่มรายวิชาหรือหัวข้อด้านการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย และ สนับสนุนให้มีการนำหลักการแนวคิดในการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการปฏิบัติอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Effectiveness of a Development of the End-of-Life Care Training Program for Nursing Students of Saint Louis College

This quasi experimental study aimed to study 1) develop a hospice care training program for nursing students, and 2) validate the effectivenessof the hospice care training program for nursing students.Asample of 30 nursing students at Saint Louis College in the third semester of the academic year 2013 was used in this step.End-of-Lifetraining program fornursing students consistsof4units;1) carefor lifeand death2) care when death comes 3) care after loss and 4) care related to ethical and legal. The instruments used for collecting data were knowledge, skill, and attitudein caring for patients at the end of life questionnaires.The statistic method use for analyzing data included Paired Samplest-test and t-test one sample group compare with criteria.The findings were as follows: On the validate of the effectiveness of the hospice care training program, the student’s knowledge after the experimental was higher than the pretest score at .0001 level, however, whencomparetheknowledgescore witha criterionthere wasnosignificantly different.Thestudent’s attitude toward hospice care training program was at a high level and was higher than a criterion at .0001 level.The student’s hospice care skill was at a high level and was higher than a criterion at .0001 level. The findings suggest that hospice training program should be added in nursing curriculum. The principles and concepts of hospice care should be continuous implementation.
