The Potential Development and Innovation in Taking Care of The People in The Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic

This research and development project aims to study the results of developing potential in knowledge and skills and creating innovations for caring for people during the pandemic of coronavirus disease in 2019 by village health volunteers, Pathum Thani Province. A sample of 55 people was selected purposively. Research tools included: 1) a potential development program for village health volunteers; 2) a knowledge test on coronavirus disease; and 3) an innovation skills assessment form, and innovation satisfaction assessment form. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a Paired t-test.
The results of this study showed that the innovative herbal scent stickers attached to masks indicating receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine, developed in 10 styles and 5 herbal scents. Overall satisfaction with the sticker innovation was found to be at a high level, with a mean of 4.27 and a standard deviation of 0.420 after participating in the capacity development program for village health volunteers with knowledge about infectious diseases, coronavirus 2019, and skills in creating innovations for caring for people during the pandemic of coronavirus 2019 were significantly higher than before the experiment.
