Abstract

Trauma primary survey and nursing management is a critical stage of initial assessment and treat any life-threatening injuries. It requires a systematic approach, rapid, accuracy and good clinical judgement for optimizing resuscitation in time limited situation. This article provides trauma primary survey, pathology, assessment, nursing management and pitfalls by following of ABCDEs step-by-step. It aims to improve nurses’ knowledge and skills of assessment, can identify and management impending or immediate life-threatening injuries quickly and efficiently.
