Active Aging Preparation for Thai Nurses Educator in Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation

Abstract

This qualitative research explored the meaning and component of active aging preparation for education nurses. Data were collected using in-depth interview and focus group discussion and were analyzed by using thematic analysis. Result revealed that educator nurses viewed the preparation activities to be performed in all 7 areas included: 1) self care for healthy and delay physical health declines; 2) financial management; 3) home & living arrangement; 4) preparing for family/caregivers; 5) preparing to face with death and the end of life and 6) preparing for activities/jobs after retirement 7) life long learning preparation.
