Abstract

The purposes of this research were to determine 1) human resource management, quality of working life and work passion, 2) the relationship between personal factors, human resource management, quality of working life and work passion and 3) path analysis of factors affecting work passion among professional nurses. The subjects were 405 professional nurses worked at Health Service Region 5th. The research instrument composed of questionnaires with their reliabilities between 0.81-0.87. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation, and path analysis.

The results of the study showed that: 1. The mean scores of human resource management and work passion were ranked at the high level ( = 3.66, S.D = .48, = 3.98 S.D = .38, respectively), while, the mean score on quality of working life was ranked at the medium level ( = 3.50 S.D = .38). 2. The demographic factors: position, marital status, age, and work experience were significantly related with human resource management, quality of working life, and work passion (p< .001). 3. Human resource management and quality of working life had significantly positive influence on work passion (p < .001).
