Abstract

Non-adherence to standard of care may lead to adverse outcomes of care especially among patients who need critical care such as stroke. This action research aimed to apply Lewin’s theory of change to promote nurses’ adherence to standard guideline for acute ischemic stroke patients. Study participants were 10 registered nurses who were currently working at the stroke unit. In conclusion, application of change theory effectively promoted nurse’s adherence to guideline.
