Abstract

The purposes of this classroom action research were to compare 21st century learning skills and community health nursing competency of nursing students before and after being provided the jigsaw cooperative learning. The subjects of this study were 82 of 3rd year nursing students of the Royal Thai Army Nursing College of 2017 academic year obtained from purposive sampling. Research instruments were lesson plan of jigsaw cooperative learning, 71 items of the 21st century learning skills and 32 items of the community health nursing competency of nursing students questionnaires. The one-group pretest-posttest design was used for this study. The data were statistically analyzed by using paired t-test. The results of this study revealed that the 21st century learning skills and the community health nursing competency of nursing students in all aspects after being provided the jigsaw cooperative learning was statistically higher than before being provided at.05 level of significance.
