Abstract

This descriptive study was conducted to examine the satisfaction and expectation of the stakeholders for desirable characteristics of Thai Qualification Framework for Higher Education; TQF: HEd towards graduated nurses from School of Nursing, Eastern Asia University in academic year 2015. The objectives were (1) to study the satisfaction and expectation of the stakeholders for the desirable characteristics of TQF: HEd towards graduated nurses and (2) to compare the satisfaction and expectation of the stakeholders for the desirable characteristics of TQF: HEd towards graduated nurses. The samples were 70 stakeholders of graduated nurses from private hospitals and public hospitals. The instrument was the questionnaires about satisfaction and expectation of the stakeholders on the desirable characteristics of the graduated nurses for Thai Qualification Framework for Higher Education. They were checked for quality by 3 experts IOC (0.85) and tried out with 20 nurses who were similar to the samples (the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient = 0.96). Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and pair t-test. The results showed that (1) the overall satisfaction and expectation on the desirable characteristics of the stakeholders were at high level ( = 4.14 S.D.= 0.49 and = 4.01 S.D. = 0.47) and (3) the comparison between the satisfaction mean scores and expectation mean scores were no significantly different at .05 level.
