Abstract

Background: The children and youth network is very important for driving the community health system. The process of developing competencies for children and youth is necessary.


Objectives: This study aimed to develop a social innovative process on community health to enhance analyzing, planning, and problem-solving competencies for children and youth council district level.


Methods: Developmental research was divided into 2 phases. The first phase was developing a process based on empirical evidence, design thinking, and community health nursing. The second phase was the evaluation of using the process.


Results: The developed procedure consisted of analyzing, planning, and community health problems using a design thinking process for 2 phases. The first phase consisted of 2 activities: interactive lecturing and practice situational analysis. The second phase consisted of 6 procedures, including empathizing with problems, defining problems, community diagnosis, brainstorming Ideas for solving problems, creating prototypes of guidelines for solving problems, and drafting prototypes. The result of the procedure’s conformity to its concept framework, the content validity index was .86. The result of the procedure showed that analyzing and planning competencies to solve community health problems score after the experiment was higher than before the experiment were significantly different from a level of significance (p = .001).


Conclusions: A social Innovative process on community health to enhance analyzing, planning, and community health problem-solving competencies for children and youth council district Level.
