Factors related to the role of Village Health Volunteers in promoting health promotion of the older person at That Sub-district, Warinchamrab District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract
The aim of this research was to 1) study factors related to the Village Health Volunteers (VHV) in promoting health promotion of the older person, 2) study the relationship between social support and the role of VHV in promoting the health of the older person at That Sub-district, Warinchamrab District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. A total of 98 samples were recruited from VHV at That Sub-district, Warinchamrab District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Data were collected by a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and analytical statistic. Chi-square was employed to study the relationship of VHV and the factors related to promoting health promotion of the older person. The results showed that personal factors such as the occupational was significantly correlated with the role of VHV in promoting health promotion of the older person at the .05 level. The social support such as the emotional support, appraisal support and instrumental support was significantly correlated with the role of VHV in promoting health promotion of the older person at the .05 level.
