Effectiveness of SKT Meditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7 among Uncontrolled Diabetic Foot Ulcer Patients

The uncontrolled diabetic foot ulcer patients causes several complications. SKT Meditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7 helps uncontrolled diabetic foot ulcer patients control their blood glucose. This quasi-experimental research was conducted to test the effectiveness of SKT Meditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7. The research was conducted with 31.
uncontrolled diabetic foot ulcer patients who were admitted to Trang Hospital. A purposive sampling technique was applied to select the samples. The sample group received the SKT Meditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7 based on the concept of Somporn Kantharadussadee Triamchaisri. Data were collected before and after receiving program 12 weeks by using demographic data questionnaires, the SKT Meditation Healing Exercise 1, 3, 7 questionnaire, the satisfaction with the program questionnaire and a record form for fasting blood glucose new foot ulcers and aggressive foot ulcers. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-test.
The results of the research suggest that SKT Meditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7 is effective in reducing blood glucose and controlling wound progression among uncontrolled diabetic foot ulcer patients. Therefore, this program should be further used to control diabetic foot ulcer patients.
The results revealed that after enrolling in the program, the study group had significantly
decreased levels of blood glucose (p < 0.01). Neither new foot ulcers, nor aggressive foot ulcers were found. The study group had SKT Meditation Healing Exercise 1, 3, 7 behaviors and was satisfied with the program at the highest level.
The results of the research suggest that SKT Mdeditation Healing Exercise Program 1, 3, 7 is effective in reducing blood glucose and controlling wound progression among uncontrolled diabetic foot ulcer patients. Therefore, this program should be further used to control diabetic foot ulcer patients.
