Nursing Role With Family Health Promotion Based On Family Development Theory

Abstract

Family health promotion is the heart of resolving family issues, including an illness or family structure and family role . The purpose of this article is to understand nursing role in family health promotion based on family development theory . Family health promotion is the role of nurse’s about family’s developmental stages such as health educators, health counselors, coordinators, case finders and supporters. The family development is divided into 8 stages, according to the theory of Duvall. The development of each family are all committed to each phase vary. The content in this article is derived from a literature review and research. Boramarajonani College of Nursing Chon Buri thought that theories such as good family health promotion will be useful for Thai families. So, this theory is in the curriculum of the nursing science program. Nursing students can learn and apply family health promotion practice in the community at Chon Buri province.
