Leadership in Exercise and Sport of the Students Faculty of Sports and Health Science Thailand National Sport University

Abstract

       The purpose of this research aims to study and compared the leadership capability for exercise and sport of students in the faculty of Sports and Health Science, Thailand National Sports University. The group samples were 681 students across 17 campuses. The research methodology used was an assessment with content validity and confidence. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was 0.80. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and comparing the differences between the variables. Mean Different Test (One-way ANOVA) and Pairwise Comparison Test (LSD).

       The research results showed that male and female sample had the same high leadership ability in exercise and sports, in terms of morality, ethics, code of conduct, physical fitness. But male had greater leadership aspirations. Also, female had greater interpersonal skills. Overall, both male and female had the physical  fitness in exercise and sports. In a comparison between male and female, there will be differences in physical fitness with statistical significance at 0.05 levels. Research has found that the students from the central region of Thailand in terms of aspirations leadership ability in sports, personality, physical fitness, and attitudes were different from the northern, northeastern, and southern regions with statistical significance 0.05.
