การปฏิบัติงานของพยาบาลในหน่วยงานอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน โรงพยาบาลทั่วไปแห่งหนึ่ง

การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบรรยายการปฏิบัติงานของพยาบาลในหน่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน โรงพยาบาลทั่วไปแห่งหนึ่ง โดยใช้ระเบียบวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพแบบปรากฏการณ์วิทยาของ Heidegger ผู้ให้ข้อมูลคือ พยาบาลวิชาชีพที่มีประสบการณ์ปฏิบัติงานในหน่วยงานอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉินอย่างน้อย 2 ปี จำนวน 12 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การสังเกต และการบันทึกภาคสนาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลตามวิธีของ Crist and Tanner การตรวจสอบความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูลตามเกณฑ์ของ Guba and Lincoln
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การปฏิบัติงานของพยาบาลในหน่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน ประกอบด้วย 1) คัดกรองผู้ป่วยต้องใช้ทักษะที่หลากหลาย 2) เฝ้าสังเกตอาการเพื่อพิจารณารับไว้หรือจำหน่ายกลับบ้าน 3) ช่วยฟื้นคืนชีพ รีบเร่งปฏิบัติการ 4) บริการงานรับย้ายและส่งต่อ 5) ไม่รีรอเร่งช่วยเหลือเมื่อมีเหตุฉุกเฉิน 6) ดำเนินการช่วยงานสาธารณภัย 7) งานมอบหมายอื่นที่ให้แก่สังคม และ 8) ผลที่ได้จากการปฏิบัติงาน ผลการศึกษานี้ ทำให้เข้าใจลักษณะการปฏิบัติงานของพยาบาลหน่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉินที่ต้องรับผิดชอบงานที่หลากหลาย ดูแลผู้ป่วยทุกโรคและทุกวัยรวมถึงทุกระดับของความเร่งด่วนในการรักษา ดังนั้นพยาบาลในหน่วยงานจึงต้องมีความรู้และทักษะทางการแพทย์ที่หลากหลาย เพื่อให้สามารถประเมิน วินิจฉัยและให้การพยาบาลของผู้ป่วยได้อย่างเหมาะสมและรวดเร็ว
