THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HIGH-PERFORMANCE MODEL FOR NURSING COLLEGES UNDER THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE AND THE ROYAL THAI POLICE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the high-performance organizational components of nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police, and 2) to create and assess the high-performance organizational model of nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police. Samples consisted of 291 administrators, nursing lecturers, and support personnel under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police 2) Six experts for confirm the congruence of items and components, and 3) The informants for assessing the suitability, possibility, and usefulness of the developed model were 9 experts from the nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police.The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire and evaluation forms. Data analysis was descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis.

The research results were as follows:

1. There were four components of the high-performance organization of nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police. The first component was increasing management capabilities for the development of a high-performance organization. The second component was constant updates to achieve long-term goals. The third component was the strengthening of personnel with loyalty to the organization. Finally, the last component was the building of the relationship and cooperation in developing the quality of the institutes. The factor loadings were about 4.32 to 7.66. These components were able to explain the variance at 72.04%.

2. Six experts agreed on all components of the high-performance organization development model of the nursing college under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police.

3. Evaluation results of the high-performance organizational model of the nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police were found that they were suitable, possible, and beneficial to be used in nursing colleges under the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Thai Police.
