Abstract

The objectives of this research were to evaluate the management potentials of the Nursing Science Program on its inputs, processes, and products. The population and samples were graduates from the Bachelor Degree Program of Nursing Science during the academic year 2013 – 2019. The research tools were (1) the questionnaire used to collect the primary data and (2) the records from the Registration Office utilized to collect the secondary data. All instruments were tested for content validity by three experts. The item-objective congruences (IOCs) of instruments were .66 - 1.00. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was .953. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and ratio.

The research found that (1) the total potentials on its inputs was in a high level (M = 3.95, SD = .70), (2) the total potentials on its processes was in a high level (M = 4.13, SD = .65), and also (3) its total potentials on products was in a high level (M = 4.29, SD = .55). When comparing the number of admissions to the number of retentions in each academic year, it was found that the highest rate of retention and the lowest rate of dropouts was in the academic year 2015. When comparing the actual admission to the planned admission, it had been accordant with the plans since the program was developed in 2013 and it was likely to be lower than the plnmans in the academic year 2018 and 2019.
