The purposes of this quasi-experimental research were to compare anxiety of older persons before cystoscopy among the experimental group before and after undertaking the education and movement mindfulness meditation program, and to compare anxiety of older persons between the experimental group and control group. The sample were 40 men and women aged 60 years and over before cystoscopy attending urological clinic at Rajavithi hospital. They were equally random assigned into control group and experimental group. The control group received conventional nursing care while the experimental group received the education and movement mindfulness program for two weeks. Research instruments were the education and movement mindfulness meditation program, and the anxiety scale before cystoscopy. The instruments were verified by 5 experts, CVI was .85. The reliability of anxiety scale was .92 data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test
The research findings were as follows:
1. The mean score of anxiety of older persons before cystoscopy after undertaking the education and mindfulness meditation program was significantly lower than that of before undertaking the program at .05 ( =26.95, S.D.=3.76 and =35.00, S.D.=6.08 respectively, t=7.011, p=.001).
2. The mean score of anxiety of older persons before cystoscopy cases in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group at .05 ( =26.95, S.D.=3.76 and =38.80, S.D.=6.67 respectively, t=6.921, p=.001).
